Bobo-Anthony Anderson

In mostly all of Anthony Anderson’s movies he plays the dumb funny guy as it shown in transformers and Barbershop. Having him play the role as Bobo would be a great fit for him. Mr. Anderson seems to have that attitude and face of someone who will get scammed and wouldn’t know what to do. I also think that Anthony Anderson just looks like a person who would be named Bobo.  As in the play Bobo is seen as a frightened innocent man that’s dumbfounded on the fact that Willy Harris never showed up at the train station.

Karl Lidner-Jeffrey Donovan

Jeffrey Donovan from the show “Burn Notice” can play Karl Lidner. Don’t really know why, but I feel he will have the” balls” to go to someone’s house and try to persuade them from not moving to a white neighborhood.  Reading Karl lidner’s part in the play I viewed him as a person who stumbles and doesn’t know the right words to say during this kind of situation. I feel Jeffrey Donovan can try to play lidner and he will seem to actually succeed in his role.  “You Just can’t force people to change their hearts, son”

George Murchinson-Isaiah Washington

George Murchinson is a wealthy man who I think is arrogant and cares about his appearance. I feel Isaiah Washington can play this role he is known from the show Grey’s Anatomy and looks like he can act snobby towards people. They don’t describe George appearance to much, but mostly how he acts and what kind of back ground he is from.

Joseph asagai-Djimon Hounsou

One of the reasons I choose Djimon Hounsou was because he originated from Africa, also in the role I want him to play, Joseph Asagai, is from Africa. Djimon Hounsou I feel matches his character the most he seems be very charming just like Asagai.  It doesn’t really describe how Asagai looks, but I feel he would look just like Djimon Hounsou. Hounsou is known from the movie “Blood Diamond” and Russell Crowe’s friend in the “Gladiator”. “One for whom bread—food is not enough”

Lena Younger-Phylicia Rashad

The only person I can see play Lena Younger is Phylica Rashad, the mother from the Cosby show. I see the entire features that Lena younger is described in the play to compare it to Phylicia Rashad. Phylicia Rashad seems to have the heart worming compassion and instincts of a mother.  In the play Lena Younger is a hardworking mother who strives to keep her family together and Miss Rashad has the perfect fit to play this role. In the Cosby show she was also a hardworking mother and loved to keep her family together that’s why I feel she’s fit for this part.

Beneatha younger-Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union is a young and beautiful actress that I feel can play Beneatha. Beneatha I see her as a young and beautiful witty college student who is trying to find her identity. Also is confused betweens to men, both very different, who she likes.  Miss Union has the ability as an actress to catch the personality of Beneatha.

Walter lee younger-Don Cheadle

Don Cheadle to me looks like someone who can play Walter lee Younger. Mr. Cheadle I can see him play a drunk with dreams, but doesn’t know the process of getting there.  He has played serious roles in “Hotel Rwanda” and “Crash”. Don Cheadle can have the attitude of playing Walter lee and would do a great job in doing so.

Travis younger-Tyler James Williams

I would have Tyler James Williams play Travis younger. The young actor played Chris in “everybody hates Chris” and in the show he was a young boy who worked because he wanted things and I compared this to Travis because he wanted to bag groceries to receive 50 cents for something in school. Tyler James Williams has the characteristics of a boy who likes to play around and get in trouble a lot so that’s why I choose him for this role.

A raisin in the sun

Ruth younger-Taraji P. Henson
-Taraji P. Henson I feel can play Ruth Younger from “A raisin in the sun”. Taraji Henson has the features of what I view Ruth to be. Playing a hardworking mother and a worn out wife that’s not satisfied with her life and surroundings can fit in to the roles of Miss Taraji Henson. She played the mother in   The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”. As in her other known role as Shug who won the Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role from the movie “Hustle & Flow”. Miss Henson can play a hardworking mother who is not satisfied with her husband’s choices and attitude.
